The problem with most fraud training

Traditional fraud training tests whether someone can recall a definition. But the job isn't recall, it's judgment under uncertainty. A real analyst has to read incomplete evidence, weigh the cost of friction against the cost of loss, recognize a pattern that no single data point reveals, and act before the money moves. None of that is captured by "which of the following is an example of synthetic identity fraud?"

Fraudcraft Academy was built to train the judgment, not the vocabulary.

How it works

Each course is a live, branching case. An alert lands in the analyst's queue and they work it end to end across a series of decision points. The case reacts to their choices: a premature freeze frustrates a real customer, a missed signal lets the fraud mature, a correct containment call stops a loss in progress. Every run is scored on the things that matter in practice:

• Accuracy: did they reach the right read on the evidence?
• Containment outcome: did funds stay protected, or did the attack convert?
• Customer friction: did they defend without punishing legitimate customers?

At the end, a debrief breaks down every decision, shows the stronger move where one was missed, and distills the operator-level takeaways. Analysts can replay to improve their score, and challenge teammates to head-to-head duels on the Triage Tape mini-game: quick transaction-triage rounds played on identical decks, where speed and precision under pressure decide the outcome.

The Academy covers the threats fraud teams face every day, across six interactive cases today with new ones added over time:

Built for teams

Fraud leaders and L&D teams get a console showing who has completed what, average scores across the team, a coverage matrix, and a leaderboard. It turns investigator simulation from a checkbox into something you can actually measure, and makes it easy to spot who's ready for harder work and who needs coaching.
